About Dr. McDow
Dr. Darren J. McDow was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He was given a full academic scholarship to attend the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 1992.
He received a partial academic scholarship to attend The Ohio State University School of Medicine, where he graduated with a Medical Degree in 1998.
He has served as Medical Director of the Charles Drew Physician Assistant program. He has been mentor and teacher for numerous physician assistant and nurse practitioner programs from 2003 to present.
Dr. McDow started his private practice in 2002. He is committed to practicing compassionate medicine.

Ruthann S. McDow, MSN AGACNP
Ruthann was born in Georgetown, Guyana. She and her family moved to Canada in 1975, in search of a better life and education.
She attended Acadia University and Memorial University of Newfoundland where she received Bachelor Degrees in English and Nursing. She began working as a Registered Nurse at the Health Sciences Center in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada.
She moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001 as a Traveling Nurse. She worked 9 years as an RN in Los Angeles prior to making a decision to return to school to get her Masters Degree. She received her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from California State University of Los Angeles in 2014. She graduated with honors (SigmaThetat Tau Honors Society of Nursing).
Ruthann currently works part-time as a Registered Nurse at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit. As well as currently works as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine with her husband, Darren McDow, M.D.
Ruthann is well known as a compassionate, patient and knowledgeable medical professional. She believes in building a long-lasting and trusting relationship with patients and clients.
Heather Preciado, MSN FNP-BC
Heather Preciado MSN, FNP-BC is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in Central Florida. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Florida State University followed by a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from California State University Domingue Hills. Heather relocated to Los Angeles in 2009 and has had the privilege of working at several different community hospitals in the area as a Registered Nurse, including over 10 years at one of the top academic medical centers in the country where she achieved Progressive Care Certification. Heather is very passionate about providing culturally competent preventative care and empowering her patients to take charge of their health. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing trivia games, and visiting the beach with her family.
Juliet Namalwa, MSN, FNP-C
Juliet is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University- San Marcos, graduating with honors from Sigma Theta Tau- Nursing Honors Society. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University, graduating at the top of her class.
Juliet currently works in the orthopedic /trauma unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, providing nursing care to diverse patients with medical and surgical health needs. Juliet’s professional interests includehealth promotion to implement community-based hypertension management programs to reduce heart disease in high-risk populations. Personal interests includespending time with family,cooking shows, and running.
Juliet is kind and compassionate. She values culturally tailored, individualized care and empowering patients to participate actively in their healthcare.
